The following blog will see increased traffic between January 14, 2007 and May 21, 2007...boop beep boop beep...

The new season of 24 begins on January 14, 2007.

Rather than tie up our work e-mails, Ted has suggested that we have our 24 discussion thread here.

I think this is a very good idea and welcome everyone to visit my site to conduct our weekly 24 discussion.

If you have any questions as to how to operate the site, please reach out to me.

When bad things happen to good people, its probably fate. When bad things happen to bad people, it’s probably Jack Bauer.

After Season 6 of 24, the Chinese will be on the Endangered Species List.

The city of Los Angeles once named a street after Jack Bauer in gratitude for his saving the city several times. They had to rename it after people kept dying when they tried to cross the street. No one crosses Jack Bauer and lives.

If everyone on "24" followed Jack Bauer's instructions, it would be called "12".

Jack Bauer let himself be drugged, beaten and captured inside a crate on a Chinese ship heading out of the USA with no way for help to find him. Now he has them right where we wants them.

Lets get one thing straight, the only reason you are conscious right now is because Jack Bauer does not feel like carrying you.

If you don't tell me what I want to know, then it'll just be a question of how much you want it to hurt.

Sounds like a fair fight

When Jack Bauer jumps into the ocean, he does not get wet. The ocean gets "Jacked."

My prediction: He gets off that boat by the end of the first hour.

He is already off the boat, the question is how come the Chineese decided to torture him on Catalina Island since Jack has to be back in LA in 30 minutes.

You think he is already off the boat?

That might be.

They could easily open up with a torture sequence after the boat had docked. The problem is, how to account for the lapse of time in between the last season and this one.

do you have a source on the Catalina Island thing or are you just pulling that out?

Pulling out Catalina, my other theory is that 24 has a first hour preliminary standard episode which leads into Hour 1 in the second hour. That would allow for Jack to be in China.

Of Course in 24 fashion, if Wayne Palmer is president maybe he just worked to get Jack back from China before the show starts, you know, it will be CTU and the President, the crisis that is already happening, and then at the end of the hour, here comes the man.

I just can't see Jack in China. It would take too long for him to get back.

Can't see an "intro" episode either. That would be unprecedented.

I really am at a loss as to how they are going to start the season. However, if they do not pick it up immediately where they left off from, I will be miffed. You can not do a cliffhanger without starting from the exact same moment you left off from.

No cliffhanger, they have never done one and will not now. I agree, the non timed episode would not work either, it has to be that Jack is already flying back when the season starts.

As a result of some kind of prisoner exchange?

I can't see that.

The decision to get Jack was personal, not business.

I think he has to escape.
