Thats right.... 12 minutes left in the two-hour show and I run out of recording space.

Everyone dies!!! All nukes detonated. Jack can't stop anyone and decides the he'll with it- I'm sick of trying to do the right thing so he just sits down and orders a grand slam breakfast at deny's. Seriously- go on itunes- download it for a buck and watch it. Either that- or get the minute by minute review on the website.

OK, I am readyt o kick this off in small increments.

First Hour.

I am so happy Jack's Dad is evil, much more fun.

The lack of panicking civilians in LA is disturbing.

The Whitehouse sub-plot is now officially awful.

CTU/LAPD Perimeter
OK, first as Tim pointed out on the phone to me, he escapes in a medical helicopter? The airspace over LA is not shut down yet? Unforgiveable mistake.

His safe house was on the 6th floor of the apartment? If you need to escape why put yourself ont he 6th floor? No one looked at the schematics of the building and saw access to the sewers directly from the basement? By the way, nevermind the cliche of the airvent, even large buildings do not have manhole covers into the sewer systems. Those pipes that fit humans are mains that are fed into by the buildings, the buildings themselves do not have doors that open tot he sewer, Plus, Fayed was awfully clean in that helicopter, Again, Tim referenced the Shawshank moment "Andy crawled through five-hundred yards of shit smelling foulness I can't even imagine" Fayed, not so bad.

Why leave the bomb behind in the apartment? If he wanted it to go off shouldn't you hide it a little bit?

Convenient that CTU could not get a live feed of the infrared.

I have more but that should get it going.

Ha ha Mitch!

I thought about everything TEd said and talked to Tim about the restricted airspace this morning.

One additional thing - I was wondering why didn't anyone go down the shaft? I mean, he could have JUST gotten down there and would be thitry feet away by the time someone from CTU rapelled down there. Moreover, since they had not found the bomb yet, they could asume that they were carrying four suitcase nukes with them. That slows you down.

OK so you guys get so darned literal. LOL. It's Hollywood they go for the dynamic not the obvious. With that being said.

Kinda fun seeing the Dad evil. Don't like what he did with daughter in law and Grandson. Don't mess with a Mom and their child. I also think she should have told Jack. We almost got an idea about their past relationship.

Anyway, so we now know the bombs were not to go off in the same area. We also know Fayed is not really the one behind it all but the age old nemesis of the USA the Russian's.

Well once again the CTU team screws up a parimeter. Not surprising it wouldn't be 24 if they didn't.

Glad the blonde bit the dust. Greedy B*!$&, should have let Morris go. Poor Morris he is a computer geek not Jack Bauer of course he was going to do. Although I might add you start kicking the shit out of me I probably wouldn't have been such a willing person.....threaten my kids different story. Morris is lucky he got out alive. I miss Curtis....

Lennox and his weasel of an assistant... treasonists hope they get caught. I am assuming that Lennox's assistant is part of the whole group Jack's Dad is with? Is he?

Well I will oost more later.

Oh yeah... Morris is a cowardly bitch. No way were they going to let him live. Sacrifice your life for the good of others you sniveling piece of crap!

Even if he was not willing to be a human being, he could have taken more time than he did to engineer the thing. He knew CTU was out looking for him. He should have had faith that they would find him. I was watching with only one eye last night (with one eye on my kids) so, I might be off here, but, didn't the fire alarm go off BEFORE he finished the project? If so, he is the supreme coward in that he could have held off just a tiny teency little bit and been saved before completing the device. What a tool.

It just goes to show you... British or Gay... who can tell?

Moving on,

Fox never should have made this a two hour night, you can't follow the first hour last night with the slow pace of the second hour. Lennox cannot be a patriot and kill Palmer, the Russian anlge is beyond stupid, almost feels like they are appeasing Arabs with this twist.

I am convinced 24 and Lost both have no idea where they are going and that is a shame. They tied Graem to Jack and then kill him right away, the romance with his sister-in-law, no one at CTU thinking Dad might not be trusted, all just awful.

WHy would Jack care about a CTU internal investigation, he has no future with CTU, he has no career, he killed his brother, fine, just a weird scene.

I agree, they seem to have a lack of focus in this season. It is almost as if they are trying to bring too many twists and turns into it.

And I agree that they seem to be appeasing the Mid-eastern audiences. Once again, the rule of modern day TV rears its head:

The bad guys must be rich, white and male.

What exactly is the motivation of an ex-commie russian in launching nukes in the US?

Ugh-

My lengthy posts were lost-- very annoying- so I will attempt to re-type them now.

No question- the first hour was better than the 2nd hour. I loved Chloe and Jack working together to disarm the bomb. I also love how Jack is trying to disarm the bomb and the lamos at CTU discover how Fayed escaped through the wall. You could just get the sense that Jack wanted to tell the agent, "Uh, little busy here ass-hole-- trying to disarm a suitcase nuke. If you did your stupid job- I wouldn't be talking to you right now."

Ted correctly pointed out that the White House story line is now officially stupid. This is one of the dumbest plots ever-- OK Lennox- here's what we're going to do-- we're going to assisinate the President b/c we want him to set up detention centers all over the country-- then you can impliment your fancy plan with the red cover page. Just dumb. This type of mutiny would never happen.

Can someone remind me why the writers introduced McCarthy and his g/f? talk about dumb. While I admit that I didn't see the g/f killing McCarthy- the fact that she was just in it for the money was so stupid. I thought she would have had more of a role- obviously I was wrong.

I love how evil Jack's Dad is-- it will set up some great dynamics. I also enjoy how Jack has no clue about how bad his Dad really is-- its going to be really interesting to watch this whole thing unfold and see Jack's reaction when he learns that his Dad killed Graem.

Speaking of which-- while I think John commented on that it was a "weird scene" between Jack and Buchanon about how Jack lost control and killed his brother- to me- it again reinforces how brutally honest Jack is. buchanon is willing to alter the report-- even though Jack is a rogue agent-- and Jack tells him to "do it the right way"- or something like that. You have to admire the guy.

Best line of the episode-- after Morris was being treated like sheetrock with that drill, Jack says to him incredulously, "You gave him something that worked???!!!"

Couldn't he have booby trapped it the way Jack did with the wet-list from last year? Recall he gave the wet-list to the German (now Desmond in Lost)- and the tape self-destructed in like 15 seconds-- classic.

As for the show appearing to head into a unforseen direction- the writers always seem to have a plan-- or are very good at making it up as they go along. As for Lost- I'm not so sure. I haven't watched the first one after the break- but I don't think those writers have a clue as to where that show is going.

I guess last year I was pulled in by Itzin's compelling acting and from the slowly building storylines that flowed from that.

This year, and this could change, it seems as if they are just giving me the characters and putting them in increaasingly tense situations.

Logan was a great character- and I had no idea he was bad until half way through the show-- that's what was so good about it.

Another question. If they brought Jack's dad back for some type of debriefing (either about what he knows of the Russian or Graem's death), why do you let him go an hour later?

more importantly, why do they allow him to skulk around CTU?
